Advanced Freediving courses with SSI and Molchanovs Level 2 and Wave 2 courses in the Eastern Suburbs, Sydney.

Master deep equalisation techniques, advanced breathing, and mental techniques. You will begin to experience a deeper relaxation as you dive to depths of 24-30 meters.

Our courses consistently take place amidst the stunning backdrop of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, and the tranquil waters of the Central Coast. We cater to complete beginners through to individuals with prior freediving experience, spearing, surfing, or diving yet to undergo formal freediving training.

This Freediving course includes a theory session, pool session, and 3 open water sessions, made up of 1 shore dive and 2 deep boat dives. We use The Spit for these courses as it is one of the only places to access depths in Sydney.  The theory session will expand on the foundations of freediving that you have already mastered and will start to introduce the lock system for deep equalisation, introduction to lung stretching, and gain an understanding of barotraumas and how to continue to dive safely as you start to reach some serious depth. With 3 open water sessions, you will have plenty of time to put your new equalisation skills into practice. We will look at how to do continued training and set you up with self-sufficient training drills as well as introduce a new diving discipline, CNF (Constant No Fins). CNF is diving to depth without using fins, it is the purest form of freediving and the most rewarding!

NEED TO KNOW

• Pre-requisite: this course is suitable for anyone who has completed their Level 1, Wave 1 or equivalent Freediving certification.

WHAT TO BRING

We’ll provide your mask, snorkel, Freediving fins, weight belt, and weights.

• Reef safe sunscreen, sunglasses and hat – you know the drill
• Swimmers, towel, reusable water bottle, dry clothes
• For ultimate comfort, please bring your wetsuit. Alternatively, hire one of ours for AUD40.

ITINERARY

Get ready for 2 full days of advanced Freediving training! We’ll meet at 8.30am daily.

DAY 1: UNSW Aquatic Centre, 8.30 am – 4.30pm. Knowledge development about equalisation, freediving, and safety, as well as breathing and breath hold techniques and relaxation. This is followed by a pool session to put these techniques into practice, as well as introduce dynamic apnea (swimming distance underwater), and safety training for rescues.

DAY 2: The Spit, Northern Beaches, 8 am – 2.30 pm. Two open-water sessions. The first session is designed to get you comfortable with equalisation, free immersion, and depth diving techniques. In the afternoon the second open-water session will bring all the skills that you have learnt together in constant weight freediving to get you deep!
