What You’ll Learn on a Freediving Course

At Freedive Adventures, we’ve curated a range of courses that’ll take you from curious beginner to seasoned Freediver in no time. Each course is split into theory and practice, so you’ll not only understand the ins and outs of Freediving but also learn how to stay safe and make every breath count!

Discovery Courses: a 1-day experience for beginners who simply want to dip their toes and experience the sensations of Freediving (in shallower waters) without the course requirements.

Beginner Courses: a 2-day experience. Our Level 1 Freediving Courses are the perfect starting point and are available with all agencies such as PADI, Molchanovs, SSI and more. You’ll dive into the core techniques of breath-hold diving, master basic equalization, and get a feel for all the essential safety protocols. And the best part? You’ll put it all into action with some seriously exciting open water dives!

Advanced Courses: 2 to 3 day course. If you’ve already got the basics down and are itching to level up, our Practical Level 2 and Level 3 courses are for you. You’ll refine your breath control, sharpen your skills, and learn how to use them efficiently to dive even deeper. It’s all about smoothness, precision, and exploring with confidence!

Master Freediving: can be completed in 3 or more days. Ready to dive into something even more enticing? Our master courses and coaching cover everything from deep diving techniques, advanced Freediving and qualify you to be an assistant instructor. Whether you’re aiming for depth or a career in Freediving, we’ve got the team and know-how to take you there!

Instructor Courses: we prefer longer Instructor courses of 7+ days to ensure you have the time to enjoy your learning and truly master your skills. With an Instructor course you’ll feel confident guiding students through their Freediving journey.

The Best Freediving Spots in Bali

Amed: A funky Freedivers hub on the east coast of Bali with plenty of delicious eats, accommodation for all budgets, and sun-soaked sands to relax between your dives. Amed is known for its calm waters, funky seascapes and the ability to reach varying depths just off the shore. Whether you’re just starting out or an experienced diver, the coral-sculpted sea bed and gentle slopes are mesmerizing.

Tulamben: Get ready for a thrill! Tulamben is home to the legendary USAT Liberty Shipwreck, where you can glide the wreck with schools of colorful fish, and if you’re lucky, even spot a barracuda or two. This spectacular site attracts divers, snorkelers and Freedivers from across the globe.

Nusa Penida: Looking for a bit more adventure? Nusa Penida’s healthy coral reef system is home to over 500 vibrant species. Dive with majestic Manta rays, gigantic Mola Mola, white tip reef sharks, eagle rays and blue-spotted stingrays, lionfish, octopus, moray eels, scorpionfish, clownfish, butterflyfish, barracuda, trevally, snappers, sea turtles, pufferfish and so much more.

Bask Nest: a small but famous dive site featuring an underwater sculpture park off the shore of Gili Meno, comprising a circle of 48 life-sized figures encircling several more on the seabed. You can encounter turtles, moray eels, octopus, white tip and blacktip reef sharks here too.
