Complete your course with either SSI or Molchanovs certification. We’ll be diving in the pools and off the shores, no boat rides required!
To join, you must be able to swim comfortably unassisted. Must be 18+ years of age, or over 12 years with parental consent.
WHAT TO BRING
We’ll provide your mask, snorkel, freediving fins, weight belt, and weights.
- Reef safe sunscreen, sunglasses and hat – you know the drill
- Swimmers, towel, reusable water bottle, dry clothes
- For ultimate comfort, please bring your wetsuit. Alternatively, hire one of ours for AUD40.
ITINERARY
We’ll meet at 8.30am daily. Classroom and pool sessions are held in the Eastern Suburbs.
DAY 1: UNSW Aquatic Centre, 8.30am – 3.00pm. Knowledge development about equalisation, freediving, and safety, as well as breathing and breath hold techniques and relaxation. This is followed by a pool session to put these techniques into practice, as well as introduce dynamic apnea (swimming distance underwater), and safety training for rescues.
DAY 2: Gordons Bay, 8.30am – 2.30pm. Two open-water sessions. The first session is designed to get you comfortable with equalisation, free immersion, and depth diving techniques. In the afternoon the second open-water session will bring all the skills that you have learnt together in constant weight freediving to get you deep!

Classroom and pool sessions are held in the Eastern Suburbs. We’ll meet at UNSW Aquatic Centre on day 1 and Gordons Bay on day 2.
