We’re diving Koh Chang all year; we’ll help schedule dates to suit you!

• 1-day PADI Discover freediving course
• Learn the basic theory of Freediving and breath-holding secrets
• Body position techniques, how to use equipment, equalization of the ears, safety and buddying
• Small and intimate course for maximum guidance
• Freediving equipment, insurance, boat fees, pool fees
• One session of each: theory, breathing/relaxation, confined water, open water diving up to 10m / 33ft
• We’ll be learning in a very calm and fun bite-sized way with practical lessons throughout the day.

NEED TO KNOW

Your PADI Discover Freediving course will see you comfortably diving to depths of up to 10m, but this is not a requirement. We’ll be exploring breath-holding and diving in a comfortable and natural way without any performance requirements.

Prerequisites:

• Ability to swim at least 100m non-stop
• Complete the standard PADI freediving health/medical declaration.

WHAT TO BRING

Diving gear is included in your booking.:

• Bathers, towel, reef safe sunscreen, sunglasses
• We’ll take a boat ride for our open water session
• We provide water, tea, coffee, soda, snacks, fruits and lunch.

ITINERARY

We provide free transportation from your hotel and back at the same location at the end of the day.

Prepare for 1 epic day of Discover freediving at BB Divers from 9:00am to 4:30pm, with an hour lunch break.

BREATHING AND RELAXATION: Optimal breathing techniques and learning how the breath alone can help you relax. Post-dive recovery breathing for safety.

CONFINED WATER SESSION: Static apnea training (practicing breath holding on the surface). Understanding, experiencing and finding comfort with contractions. Safety and buddy techniques.

OPEN WATER: We’ll take a boat ride from Bang Bao pier to Koh Rand national park or local sites with the HTMS wreck. We will progress your depth adaptation comfortably by learning equalization, duck diving, body positioning, finning style, Free Immersion (pulling with your hands along the rope) and Constant Weight (using your legs/fins to kick along the rope), safety and buddying.
