This weekend will be jam-packed with adventure, adrenaline, and plenty of good times as we swim alongside hundreds of playful and curious Australian fur seals on our own private charter. If you’re looking for the ultimate experience of freediving with seals, this is the trip for you!
Montague Island is a pristine dive destination, famous for its crystal-clear waters with up to 30 meters of visibility and breathtaking kelp beds. Along with the seals, you might also spot giant bull rays, turtles, and Port Jackson sharks as you explore this incredible underwater world. Whether you’re snorkeling or diving Narooma, you’ll be surrounded by marine life in one of Australia’s top underwater playgrounds.

You can join this seal diving trip regardless of your freediving experience—seals are just as fun to snorkel with, so no worries if you’re not a freediver!
This is a social dive only, meaning while freediving instructors will be on board to assist, there won’t be any formal freediving instruction during the weekend. However, if you’re keen on improving your skills while diving Narooma, our team will be happy to share tips and guidance.
To attend, you should be a confident swimmer, as we’ll be diving in deep water with potential surge.
Transport is not included, but we’ll create a group chat to coordinate accommodation options and carpooling arrangements.
What to bring for your Narooma Seal Diving Weekend:
We’ll spend each day splashing around the best local dive spots with two four-hour boat rides and dives at Montague Island. And optional afternoon fun dive too. After our time in the water, we’ll retreat to our luxurious farm-stay accommodation in the charming heritage village of Tilba Tilba.

Narooma is a 5 hour drive south of Sydney – we recommend driving for ease of access to dive locations. We’ll organise a group chat for carpooling and accommodation prior to the trip.

Freedive Adventures offers 14-day cancellation, with the exception of last-minute bookings. As an operator, we do not offer refunds after this timeframe.
