April is one of the best months for diving in the Maldives, as it’s the transition between the dry northeast monsoon and the wetter southwest monsoon. Marine life is abundant amidst tropical weather with climates from 27-32°C (81-90°F) and generally calm waters of 28-30°C (82-86°F) with visibility of 20-30 meters.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Maldives scuba scene as you explore breathtaking dive sites guided by our experienced instructors. Whether you’re drawn to the peaceful depths of freediving Maldives or the bubbles of a scuba dive, this adventure is designed for ocean lovers of both kinds.
Over the course of eight days, you’ll stay at two modern diving resorts, on two of the region’s most abundant islands. This dive trip is suitable for Level 1 Freedivers OR Advanced Open Water scuba divers. Advanced SSI Open Water courses are also available during the retreat!

As Maldives is a Muslim country, alcohol is not permitted on the islands and our dives will be much more enjoyable with an alcohol-free trip. When around the islands, kindly cover up with long shorts or pants and t-shirts to respect the local customs.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring all of the travel essentials including:
- Reef safe sunscreen, sunglasses and hat
- All scuba gear is provided for you
- Bring your freediving fins; alternatively these can be organised if advised in advance
- We always suggest bringing your own mask however these are provided
- Clothing to respect the local culture when exploring the islands
ITINERARY
We’ll travel from Male to Dhangethi Island in the South Ari Atoll and onto Rasdhoo Island in the Northern Ari Atoll before returning to Male. From the pristine beaches of Dhangethi and Rasdhoo, we will be spending our time exploring both islands; some of the best destinations in the world to encounter wildlife in its natural habitat.

TRAVEL GUIDELINES
Diving Maldives will include plenty of time in swimwear however, Maldives is a Muslim country so it’s important to respect clothing requirements (on land) and alcohol restrictions.
Please ensure you understand the latest restrictions, travel and health requirements for both directions of your travel by visiting relevant government and visa websites.
GETTING AROUND
External Flights into Male, Maldives are not included in this retreat. Internal transfers are included by private speed boat – we will pick you up in Male & be your private transfer between our two main islands before returning to Airport on the last day by private transfer.
