NEED TO KNOW

Who can Freedive Mexico? Well, the best encounters on this trip take place close to the surface making this the perfect adventure for everyone, regardless of freediving experience.

Optional extras include a night-time see-through paddle boarding experience and a spotter plane ride in search of marine life.

Hire snorkel gear is available free of charge however, we recommend bringing your own for comfort and quality. Weights are provided.

What’s not included? Flights, dinners and accommodation on the night prior to trip
commencement.

This diving holiday package includes shared twin accommodation with a coastal and Mexican ambience, located close to the beach and local restaurants. Private room upgrades are available.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses, and hat

  • Freediving gear, including a 3mm wetsuit or spring suit, with complimentary hire available
  • Underwater camera (optional, but highly recommended!)

ITINERARY

Throughout the trip, we’ll hold photography and videography workshops, breathwork sessions, freediving workshops and enjoy group dinners. Our ocean expeditions will be up to 6 hours so, when we’re not cruising big blue we’ll provide activities to ensure you fully maximise your enjoyment in the water.

On the first day, we’ll all stay at the same local La Paz hotel. Once everyone has arrived, we’ll get to know each other over a meal, run through a trip brief and catch some deep sleep before our 8am group transfer to La Ventana.

DAY 2: The adventure officially commences! Group transfer to our La Ventana seaside accommodation, get settled, and get diving.

DAYS 3- 4: Daily boat trips to the best dive sites with massive fevers of Mobula Rays, whale shark diving, humpback encounters, orca greetings, seal play, dolphin twirling and more.

Day 5: Final morning dives finishing around 2pm before our transfer back to La Paz.

GETTING AROUND

Fly into Mexico City (MEX) and then catch a domestic flight to La Paz (LAP). There, we’ll all stay in nearby accommodation, get to know each other, run through a trip brief and catch some sleep before our 8am group transfer to La Ventana (45min drive). Accommodation prior to the trip commencing will be at your own expense.

We will be spending our time in La Ventana, a small fishing town located on the east coast of
Mexico’s Baja California Sur, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. La
Ventana is renowned for its stunning landscapes, where dramatic desert plains meet crystal clear
seas. Every year from April to July, the migration of the rays attracts some of the largest
diversities of marine life in the world. During this period, La Ventana becomes a hotspot for
marine enthusiasts to witness this spectacular event.
