Advanced diving Africa is a 3-day advanced freediving course that will see you gliding through the best tropical diving Africa has to offer in the crystal east coast waters.

Discover the world of freediving at an advanced level with a deep understanding of the physiology and techniques behind diving deeper. This course will help you improve your Freediving performance, your safety and rescue skills.

• 3-day AIDA 3 or Mochanovs 2 freediving course
• Be guided through a 26-30m CWT, 2:45 sec static and 55m DYN with appropriate technique
• Technical diving with lanyards, CO2 v O2 training and dive fitness regime incorporation
• Body position techniques, equipment, EQ, safety and buddying
• Small and intimate course for maximum guidance
• Freediving equipment, insurance, boat fees, pool fees
• Insurance and digital certification.

NEED TO KNOW

Achieve your AIDA 3 or Molchanovs 2 Freediving course with theory sessions, breathing/relaxation sessions, 2 confined water sessions, 4 open water sessions and 1 final exam.

• AIDA 3: prior completion of AIDA 2 or equivalent and have maintained freediving fitness allowing for the progression. Performance requirements of: 2:45 breath-hold, 55m DYN swim, 24m CWTB and depths of up to 25-30m.
• Molchanovs Wave 2: prior completion of Wave 1 or Crossover Evaluation. Performance requirements of 2:30 mins STA, 50m DYNB, 35m DNF, 24-30m CWTB and FIM, 15m CNF, 10-15m buddying CWTB, rescue from 15m, Theory Exam.

WHAT TO BRING

Diving gear is included in your booking. Diving Seychelles will be most comfortable with all your essentials including:

• Bathers, towel, reef safe sunscreen, sunglasses and hat
• Reusable water bottle
• We’ll take a 15min boat ride for our open water session – bring travel calm tablets if you’re prone to motion sickness
• There are nearby food stalls to buy lunch.

ITINERARY

Prepare for 3 epic days of freediving from Beau Vallon from 8am to 4/5pm, with an hour lunch break.

THEORY: You will have an in-depth understanding of what happens to the body and lungs under pressure and with mammalian dive reflex adaptations. Technical equalization techniques and how to perform and master the Frenzel technique.

CONFINED: these sessions will allow you to practice O2 and CO2 tables, learn training concepts for static and how to prepare your body for maximum attempts.

OPEN WATER: We will refine your swimming and diving techniques, improve your streamlining position, and perform Frenzel equalisation so efficiently you won’t even know you’re underwater. Learn and practice free falling and ultimate relaxation diving at depth. Uplevel our buddying and rescue scenarios at depth and on the surface.
